AgC(3-5)

AgC material made by extrusion process has C distributed in fiber form. Due to the brittleness of C, AgC is the best against dynamic welding among all contact materials. AgC also possesses low contact resistance.

AgC are widely used in protective interrupters, usually as one contact component in unsymmetrical contact pairs with fine silver, silver nickel or copper contacts.
